Dr. Devika Fiorillo, PhD, is a clinical psychologist specializing in psychotherapy for anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), depression, and trauma-related disorders. She also provides treatment for emotion dysregulation more generally.
With a focus on evidence-based cognitive and behavioral treatments, Dr. Fiorillo tailors her therapeutic approach to each individual, within a collaborative and compassionate environment. She has significant experience with traditional cognitive behavioral treatments including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Exposure Therapy as well as contemporary approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
Dr. Fiorillo completed her training at several prominent institutions and was involved in both treatment and research. She completed her Clinical Internship at Duke University Medical Center in the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Track and also completed a two-year Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Trauma and Anxiety Recovery Program at Emory University School of Medicine.
During her time at Emory, Dr. Fiorillo was trained by Dr. Barbara Rothbaum, one of the pioneers in the field of Trauma and Anxiety. She obtained her PhD from the University of Nevada, Reno, where she was trained in DBT by Dr. Alan Fruzzetti, known worldwide for his work in DBT. Dr. Fiorillo was trained in ACT by Dr. Steve Hayes, founder of the approach, and Dr. Victoria Follette, expert on ACT for survivors of trauma.
